"Lovely little cottage and wonderful restaurant and staff. We knew booking there was no pool; planned on ocean swims but water wasn’t very clear and did not appear clean. There are better places to stay at similar price but enjoyed experience. "

"This historic plantation felt more like a family compound than a hotel. Many lovely verandas to have a drink and learn more about the history of the island. Several themed dinner events through the week. Lots of monkeys too! "

"Just returned home from my stay at this property and I must say that I totally enjoyed it. The house is air conditioned and comfortable and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. If excersize walking is your thing, this particular neighborhood is ideal. You can walk within the neighborhood comfortably-- no need to go to the main road. In addition to everything stayed before, the owner and on-island contact are pleasant and respond quickly to inquiries. All in all, great place, nice stay!"

"Nisbet is on a former sugar plantation and buttresses the Atlantic. The grounds and rooms are well-maintained. It’s very laid back, an older crowd, except for the lively Thursday night barbecue on the beach. Outsiders come to Nisbet and live music is offered. Dinner food is fair, although quite good at the barbecue. Breakfast and lunch are pretty good, but with limited menus. Overall, a very relaxing vacation, but it is best to go off grounds for other experiences and restaurants."

"The house, the pool, the property, and the view are beautiful. The grounds are meticulously maintained. We enjoyed our stay there and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We were concerned before arriving about the lack of air conditioning but it truly is not needed. We were never uncomfortable during the day or at night. The central location is convenient with grocery stores and several great restaurants nearby. You can get to any point on the island within 20 minutes. The host and the...

"What can I say? It was very peaceful and relaxing. There was nothing that was lacking. I have a one year old and he found toys which was a plus. There was enough room for everyone. The on island host was very responsive. It was great to be back after 20yrs. I would definitely stay again. "
